Sprint on Wednesday announced the “family-friendly” Android-powered ZTE Fury. This entry-level handset features a 3.5-inch capacitive display with a 1GHz single-core processor and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. [ Rumor ] Sprint is going to Announce Samsung Galaxy Note

Sprint may be preparing to announce the Galaxy Note during next week’s Consumer Electronics Show. So far, we’ve only heard rumors that the device will launch on AT&T with 4G LTE support. The Galaxy Note is often referred to as a cross between a tablet and a phone, and it originally launched in Europe earlier this year. It is equipped with a large 5.3-inch display with a 1280 x 800-pixel resolution, a 1.4GHz processor and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. If Sprint does launch the Galaxy Note, as SprintFeed is suggesting it will, the phone will likely come equipped with support for Sprint’s WiMAX network. Sprint, Cleawire near deal for 3 to 5 year network-sharing agreement

Sprint and Clearwire are close to inking a deal that will extend an existing network-sharing agreement an additional 3-5 years, Bloomberg Businessweek said Friday. The current agreement will terminate at the end of 2012. Allegedly, the deal is not final and could still fall through. If it is finalized, Sprint is poised to pay less for access to Clearwire’s network than it currently does. Sprint sues to block AT&T/T-Mobile merger on Tuesday

Sprint announced on Tuesday that it has filed a lawsuit with a federal court in the U.S. District of Columbia in an effort to block AT&T’s planned $39 billion acquisition of T-Mobile USA from Deutsche Telekom. The suit is related to the Department of Justice’s lawsuit, which was filed on August 31st. “Sprint opposes AT&T’s proposed takeover of T-Mobile,” Sprint’s vice president of litigation Suzan Haller said. “With today’s legal action, we are continuing that advocacy on behalf of consumers and competition, and expect to contribute our expertise and resources in proving that the proposed transaction is illegal.” Sprint argued that the merger will “harm retail con

HTC Evo 3D Smartphone to hit Sprint stores on June 24

Sprint has confirmed that HTC’s Evo 3D smartphone and View 4G tablet will hit store shelves on June 24th.
