The uniquely designed Backflip began selling through AT&T Wireless late last week, and the Detour is now available from Verizon Wireless. The 3G/Wi-Fi Backflip, at $99 after rebate and with a two-year contract, is gaining a lot of attention for its unique flip-out QWERTY keyboard, which AT&T has described as “an original reverse flip design.” Big Selling Point — MOTOBLUR By flipping the keyboard backward, the device can be set up in tabletop mode for listening to music, looking at videos and photos, or acting as a digital alarm cloc

UK retailer has published its list of “Top 10 Phones of 2009” in which HTC HD2 was unanimously chosen over Apple’s iPhone 3GS. Earlier this month, Time Magazine in its annual “Top 10 of Everything” list picked Droid on Verizon Wireless for the “Gadget of the Year” award. iPhone 3GS in that list managed fourth place behind Droid, The Nook and Dyson Air

Tuesday, December 29, 2009 7:35 5 Comments

Two new Windows Mobile 6.5.3 ROMs for HTC HD2 has been released which features the new HTC Sense version 2.5.19222911.0. This version of HTC Sense supports the new Documents Tab and Landscape mode for Sense interface. It is based on ROM version 2.01 for T-Mobile US HTC HD2 which was leaked last week. While I haven’t tried the ROM yet, comments at XDA thread here suggests that these ROMs are pretty stable for day to day use. I am going to try it on my HD2 soon and will post my impressions on it here. In the mean time, you can go ahead and try out these ROMs on your HD2. Download links and instructions can be found in the discussion thread at XDA here. [via WMPoweruser]

LG has come up with an interesting idea this time by attaching a tiny device on the back of the phone, making it capable to project on walls. This could come in pretty handy for business users who wants portable projection system at their disposal anywhere and anytime they want. The LG Expo is a Windows Mobile 6.5 based phone on AT&T with a built-in Pico Projector accessory that can be attached when you need to project slides or videos on wall. This tiny device can project a 10 feet wide screen picture on the wall which has reasonably good quality. No cover or part
