Apple admits its products poison China

Apple has admitted that 15 of its Chinese suppliers are violating environmental regulations and poisoning the local population. Apparently Jobs mob has sent five employees to meet with five different Chinese environmental groups on November 15, only to learn about several troubling environmental issues at as many as 22 parts suppliers. Chinese environmentalist groups claimed the factories were releasing toxic gasses, heavy metal sludge and other pollutants. It is the first time that Apple has admitted wrongdoing in relation to environmental pollution from any of its Chinese supply chains. Steve Jobs: Microsoft couldn’t copy the Mac well, they just didn’t get it

Steve Jobs thoughts on Microsoft from his official biography reveal that he felt Google and Microsoft were similar. Speaking to Walter Isaacson in a series of over 40 interviews, Jobs said “Microsoft and Google have a lot in common.” He described Microsoft’s lack of humanity and labeled Microsoft as a pure technology company. “They just didn’t get it, even when they saw the Mac they couldn’t even copy it well. News just broke that Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs has passed away at age 56, Steve Jobs, the mastermind behind Apple’s iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac and iTunes, has died, Apple said. Jobs was 56. Apple iOS 5 coming in this month October 12th

During its recap of iOS 5 features, Apple revealed that the new iOS will be coming on October 12th, together with iCloud. The new iOS will be available for both iPads, iPhone 3GS and 4 as well as third and fourth-gen iPod touch devices. We already wrote about the new iOS 5 features back during WWDC 2011 presentation and you can find all the details here in case you missed it. In addition to those Twitter integration, iMessage, Newsstand and new notification system features that will be available on iOS 5, Apple has also revealed the new Find My Friends app that lets you locate persons that have allowed their locations to be visible. iPhone 5 reportedly started in mass production for German carrier taking preorders

Several sites are reporting that Foxconn and Pegatron have already started mass production of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 5.  Japanese tech site Macotakara reports that iOS 5 is still not ready, so the new iPhones are being stocked without the OS for now. The news comes as no surprise, since the iPhone 5 is supposed to launch in weeks, exactly when is anyone’s guess. However, Deutsche Telekom is already accepting preorders for the unannounced phone. The company believes the move will let it plan the launch a bit better and eliminate supply bottlenecks. Apple releases iOS 5 beta 6 to developers

Apple on Friday release iOS 5 beta 6 to developers. The new build is available as a 144MB over-the-air (OTA) update for developers with iOS 5 beta 3 and later installed on their iPhone, iPads or iPod touch devices. Of note, Apple does not recommend wiping your device prior to updating with this new build, as it did with beta 5. Adobe said that Android will win the tablet wars because Apple’s gear is not as Flash friendly.
