First off, this is silly. $1,400 for an orange leather flap seems a bit dumb to me. Sure, the leather might be from some special barbwire-free cattle that only consumes organic alfalfa hand-picked by the finest Irish leprechauns. Who the hell cares? $1,400 can buy you a couple of houses here in Flint, MI — slumlord or 2 square feet of cow ass? But moreover, how the hell does the case work? Does the leather feature some sort of ratcheting internal structure that supports a tablet? It really doesn’t matter. It’s still dumb just like the cheaper $800 leather sleeve shown after the jump.

iPad2 will Available in 25 More Countries on Friday

Apple Inc. announced today through an official press release that its new iPad 2 will become available in 25 more countries — including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, the U.K., and more — this Friday, March 25 of 2011. According to the Cupertino, California-based company, all of the different iPad 2 models should be priced similarly to the official suggested retail price in the U.S. For the full list of countries where the iPad 2 will become available this Friday, check out the press release after the break.

Sprint Brings Glasses-Free HTC EVO 3D and New HTC EVO View 4G Android 2.4 Tablet

Sprint Nextel Corp. announced today at the International CTIA Wireless 2011 show in Orlando, Florida the new HTC EVO 3D smartphone and the HTC EVO View 4G tablet — which is known as HTC Flyer around the world. Both devices will be 4G-enabled and will become available sometime in the Summer of this year. Price will be announced closer to launch, according to Sprint. As suggested by the name, the new HTC EVO 3D will allow individuals to record and view 3D video with no need of 3D glasses. The phone will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread at launch. Adobe Flash Player 10.2 for Android Now Available

Just as expected, Adobe Systems Inc. has released version 10.2 of Flash Player for Android today. The update is now available for free in the Android Market for a number of devices running Android 2.2 Froyo and higher. Adobe does indicate that Flash Player 10.2 is still in beta for tablets with Android 3.0 Honeycomb. Users are asked to update to Android 3.0.1 build before installing Flash Player 10.2. According to Adobe, Flash Player 10.2 includes various improvements and enhancements. Most notably, this version “takes advantage of multi-core processors and includes other performance improvements to deliver improved performance of video and interactive content on many devices.

Development of First Nokia Windows 7 phone begins, instead of Nokia’s long-running Symbian platform

The first Nokia phone to run Windows Phone 7 instead of Nokia’s long-running Symbian platform is reportedly already in development.
