Earlier this year, the Firefox add-on Firesheep created quite a controversy by making it easy to capture unencrypted web traffic. Firesheep sniffs unencrypted cookies sent across open wi-fi networks. That means anyone with Firesheep installed can watch your browsing sessions while you lounge at Starbucks and grab your log-in credentials for Facebook, Twitter or other popular sites. Acer announced at its global event a 4.8-inch huge touchscreen smartphone that actually looks more like a tablet. The screen is not only larger, it offers 1024×480 high resolution with a 21:9 aspect ratio. Many New features in Next-gen iPad2

Speculations are rife over the next-generation Apple iPad in the Web world. According to a Taiwanese newspaper, Apple’s second-generation iPad will have video calling, two cameras, new display and touch technology, and a USB port to connect easily to other devices. Nokia Announced C2-01 Candybar Phone

Nokia announced its second C2 mobile phone, the C2-01 that is the company’s most inexpensive new 3G mobile phone. The phone has a classic candybar design and runs Series 40 OS. It has a 2-inch color display, a traditional keypad, a 3.2 Megapixel camera. The C2-01 supports single SIM only, unlike the original C2-00. Nokia’s new phone features the Nokia Messaging for email and instant messaging. SMS and chat messages are now displayed in a conversational (threaded) view. It also includes Ovi Store, Ovi Music and the Ovi Life Tools. The C2-01 measures 109.8 x 46.9 x 15.3mm and weighs 89g. Nokia C2-01 will be released in Q1 2011 for about Euro 70. NEW DELHI: Nokia has expanded its smartphone lineup in the country with the launch of Nokia X5. Claimed to be a fully loaded entertainment device, Nokia X5 has 5 MP camera with LED Flash, integrated speakers, dedicated music keys and availability of unlimited music for a year from Ovi Music. The smartphone has a 2.36 inch QVGA display and a slide out QWERTY keypad. Nokia X5 runs on Symbian Series 60 (third edition) which is the same OS as used in the company’s E-series smartphones.
